Here is a guest post from my friends over at Afterglobe.net, about their trip to the Molokini Crater off of Maui.
Almost every traveler that visits Maui will ask themselves if they should take a boat out to the crater of Molokini to either snorkel or scuba dive. Let me just go ahead and answer that question for them and you- YES! Snorkeling Molokini is an adventure you won’t soon forget with lasting memories of a beautiful day in paradise.
Let my photos from my last trip to Molokini Crater speak for themselves.
You will see Yellow Tang when snorkeling Molokini, but beware that the little white spot near their tail is as sharp as a razor blade.
When you hear what sounds like someone chomping on a carrot underwater, it’s most likely a Parrot Fish biting on the coral.
Another common fish you will see when snorkeling Molokini is the Ringtail Suregeonfish.
Have you ever gone snorkeling at Molokini?
