Photo Essay: The UNESCO City of Evora, Portugal

Even though I had an amazing time in Lisbon, particularly when I took the graffiti tour of the city, I kept on getting recommended to visit Evora. Turns out it was only an hour or two away by train, so I went to check it out, not knowing anything about it.

As it happens, everyone was right. Evora is a beautiful, mid-evil city, with acient Roman ruins and remains. Cobbled stone streets, Gothic style churches, Roman ruins and more make this an amazing UNESCO city to visit. Here are the highlights from my short visit!

Wow, the old building are beautiful! It took back in time. We also have such kind o buildings in Intramuros, Manila here in the Philippines. Most of these have history that date back in Spanish colonial era, after an explorer (Fernando Magallanes) from Portugal discovered our land in 1500’s.
